Overview
A relaxing, non-violent action-adventure with a heartfelt mystery story for PC and console.
Summer on Tidewind is a tiny open world you explore at your own pace. The action-adventure gets its thrill from story, discovery and atmosphere instead of combat. It’s the kind of game I’ve advocated for my whole career, and now we’re building it.
Sudden Forest is the Berlin studio I co-founded and lead as CEO. We’re a small team, so I wear many hats. On the project I’m officially game developer, game designer and tech artist. Behind it, I run the studio. Summer on Tidewind is our step towards a sustainable studio that creates games with meaningful stories that touch and inspire.
What I did
- Gameplay and engine development, prototyped in Unity and now in production in UE5
- Game design, from vision to moment-to-moment gameplay
- Tech art: UE5 locomotion via Mover, Control Rig + Animation Blueprints, mannequin retargeting
- Studio leadership as co-founder & CEO of Sudden Forest
